another season ending injury...
So, football ends early this year for my son. Officially, it's called a right shoulder subluxation. Which is just a fancy way of saying that he dislocated it. So, no contact for 4 weeks, and physical therapy for 6 weeks. We got a great orthopedist who really wants to be sure he is healed to minimize the chance of recurrence. The last thing we want is for him to need shoulder surgery at age 16. So, it's the sidelines for the last few games.

You gotta be careful with all this mother-of-an-athlete stuff - you may find yourself running for vice president.
Bummer! I hope that it heals well.
Ouch! Watched quite a few kids in HS sports... it always hurts to witness too! Hang in there...
He must have some good drugs on board to be smiling like that- I frequently see grown men cry with shoulder dislocations :)
John Elway would have kept playing...
When Spencer gets paid millions to play, then we'll risk it. LOL
Darn boy! Tell him we are sorry and hope he heals really soon!

Oooh... Owie! That looks like it hurt!
poor guy! stinks to get hurt while doing something that you love! I hope he heals well and quickly!
Ouch! My brother did that about every other month when he was a baby. They seriously opened an abuse file on him and my parents had to keep referring them to his pediatrician; he had a condition where the joints pop out easily (we all do, but he's the only one who's got it in the shoulders; my sisters and I are more prone to ankles and knees) and he was a very rough and tumble kid! But at least he wasn't old enough to remember it! Ouch!
Hope he recovers fully and quickly!
