Today did not reflect my best work.
I respectfully and humbly request a "do over".

it's weird...
...how watching my neighbor pull something from out of my garbage and drag it home can make me reconsider throwing it out in the first place. What do they see that I don't see?
It also makes me reconsider how high on the creepy meter that neighbor falls.
I'm not going to lie.

fun weekend...
I've gotten to watch my son go through what we have teased him is "his Troy Bolton phase". Normally, he sticks with the sports. But he surprised us by trying out for a part in the one acts at his school, and ended up with one of the leads. Go Figure!
It was a fun one act called "Check, Please." It's about how the two lead characters, Guy and Girl, break up, and then they go on a series of horrific blind dates (one being with a foot reading psychic, pictured above) and end up deciding to get back together at the end. It is a sharp play, with a lot of opportunity for the supporting characters to ham it up. It was such fun to see him perform in a completely different way, and I could tell he really enjoyed it.

This is for my 11-year-old, 'Rocky' obsessed son:

quote of the week...
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming "HOLY COW, what a ride!"

awwww...
Someone who means an awful lot to me recently told me that I have 'yummy smelling hugs'.
That may very well be the cutest thing anyone has ever said to me.
